Key Responsabilities
The Scrum Master is a key role within Agile project management, responsible for ensuring that the Scrum framework is effectively implemented and followed. They act as a facilitator, coach, and mentor for the Scrum team, helping to remove obstacles, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure that the team delivers high-quality products. The Scrum Master works closely with product owners and stakeholders to align on goals, priorities, and deliverables, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to navigate the dynamic and fast-paced nature of Agile environments.
- Lead Scrum Teams: Guide multiple Scrum teams, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies and principles.
- Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and facilitate all Scrum events including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress and ability to deliver.
- Promote Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to regularly reflect and adapt their processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and team members to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and deliverables.
- Reporting and Metrics: Track and report on team performance metrics, providing insights to drive better decision-making and process enhancements.
Qualifications
- You are a pragmatic person with an experience of minimum 5 years as Scrum Master.
- Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is a must. Additional Agile certifications are a plus.
- Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and coach cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Communication: Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and remove impediments effectively.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- You are hands-on and create tasks, dashboard and reports. You ideally have experience with planning tools and know perfectly how to use it. Knowledge of Atlassian Jira Cloud is a must.
- Dutch native or bilingual.
